Flake White artists oil color

Like melted pearls, not window putty, this Flake White has a warm, iridescent translucency and an excellent brushing consistency because it contains only pure white lead with no other white pigments or fillers.

Pure white lead, used since antiquity, to gently enhance a color mixture as it adds atmospheric nuance and warmth.  Toxic pigment.

Our Flake White is best kept vertically, with the cap facing downward, to avoid oil separation in the tube when not in use or for long term storage. Do not shake the tube, as this will make the separation worse!

Instead, turn it upside down with the cap on and firmly tap it, in one direction, on a flat hard surface, allowing gravity to concentrate the heavy color to the opening of the tube.
